Description
Lift the hood of this jewel and you'll see the numbers matching (BCN 3835911, BCD 3/4/54, EC F54YG) 235 I6 with the wild 3x1 bbl setup. Many younger enthusiasts are stunned to discover that this was the Corvette's very first engine, with the legendary small block arriving in 1955. Additional features include the automatic transmission, Wonderbar radio, and 6.70-15 wide whitewall tires mounted on correct wheels with correct covers. This gem appears to be largely original, with the exceptions of a repainted hood and consumables (tires, battery, etc.). After years of sitting in various collections, we decided to have the engine freshened. The builder exclaimed that there was virtually no visible wear inside the engine, indicating very low mileage. The remaining paint has visible crazing, again indicating originality. This important piece of automotive history runs and drives beautifully and attracts attention like Lady Godiva!
